Pumpkins are carved and lanterns are lit
Cobwebs applique the doors and skeletons rattle like windchimes.
In the silence of the dark, shadows wander the streets looking for cracks and crevices where they can easily squeeze.
They press their face against your windows and see the treasures inside, looking for what they can steal and where to hide.
White sheets with cut out circles evoke dark laughter at such a fantasy,
A laughable attempt to imitate the grand stature of such a fallen legacy.
With heavy footsteps and depth like a blackhole,
It's more than animated ghoul it's a bloodthirsty hunt for your soul.
The cackles and croons under the moon as people put on horns and ride a broom, are an invitation for the real darkness to mingle in your witness.
Happy Halloween you place treats in the children's baskets,
tricking our little ones into ways that lead to a burning casket.
It's marketed as fun for a night that will soon be gone.
But deception is the best promotion,
the shadows party in a way of their own, because this is the annual parade of welcome home.

Deception is the devil’s favourite tactic, it distracts individuals from seeing the real danger and threat that is at work. A time such as Halloween is marketed as creative costume dressing, indulging in freely given sweets and chocolates, carving pumpkins, watching scary movies. None of these traditions display the chants and curses being sent out by witches, demonic spirits attaching themselves to individuals, poisonous potions in the sweets, spiritual torment, hardened hearts, spiritual death. The celebration of such evil is doing more harm to our lives than the enemy wants us to realise. Be warned and choose to repent from these wicked ways.
